About the New Business Team

The New Business Team, based in London, is responsible for bringing in net new logos within certain key territories across the EMEA region. 


Sales in Mixpanel is focussed on PLS. Product Led Sales. Basically the Sales organization supports the Product Led Growth strategy by helping the customers start using the product as soon as possible. There is a high focus on adding value for the customer in every interaction and helping explain technically how the solution can add value to their business. Therefore our sales teams need to be technically knowledgeable as well as commercially savvy. To be successful in Sales at Mixpanel you must be comfortable demoing, you must like technology and analytics and you must ensure you are aware of the latest information on our product, which is evolving all the time, and our competitors and ecosystem partners.


About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise New Business Account Executive to join our team, based in or around London with an ability to travel within Europe. You will be highly experienced in running large complex deal cycles. You will be technically capable and will not be afraid to open up your laptop with stakeholders and demo the product. You like detail, you like being seen as an expert and adding value throughout the sales cycle. You will be used to project managing complex POV/trials with multiple stakeholders and you understand the importance of multi-stranded strategies, deeply understanding business drivers to build a ROI case to be presented to C level. 


You will be a highly networked individual with the ability to leverage networks inside Mixpanel and externally in order to build strong virtual teams to win large enterprise deals. You will have concrete examples of deals of over 500K USD you have closed consistently in your career.


You will be familiar with Land and Expand strategies as well as large Lands. You will be a fast mover. Someone who is comfortable driving urgency, handling multiple deals at the same time and building trust in your cross LOB team so they will support your strategies.


You will be interested in and probably have experience in the Analytics space. And you will be familiar with the B2C space.


Responsibilities

  • Successfully lead and close large opportunities in the EMEA territory with a specific focus on the M&E vertical (including Media, Gaming and Gambling)
  • Prospect into specific targeted accounts — build and maintain pipeline while owning the sales cycle from start to finish. You will have some inbound leads but will not expect to rely on them to make your number
  • Drive awareness of Mixpanel as a solution within the marketplace through effective outbounding while also handling inbound requests from interested prospects. We love a social AE so please be ready to share your own thoughts and content with your network.
  • Approach all opportunities with a customer focused mentality. Develop relationships and uncover the needs of multiple key stakeholders to find value moments.
  • Sell with a long-term consultative approach. You will land but also expand within year 1.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key partners such as Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Product, Marketing, and Legal.
  • Intimately understand Mixpanel's competition as well as technology partners to consult customers on our place in the broader analytics market.


We are looking for someone who has:

  • 5-7 years of experience
  • Experience of selling internationally with good cultural understanding and adaptability
  • Full cycle SaaS Sales Experience from prospect to close
  • Strong outbound prospector & sophisticated networker with demonstrated success at closing net new business deals.
  • Deep understanding of MEDDPICC or similar. You need to have a process or framework for qualification and opportunity management.
  • Demonstrable ability to accurately forecast
  • Effective communicator and collaborator — you have strong interpersonal skills and are an excellent team player.
  • Adaptability — you understand that change is constant, and you embrace it.
  • Agility and resilience — you move quickly and encourage continued improvement.
  • Strong work ethic, desire to learn, and a drive to excel.
  • Curiosity for the product analytics space.

  • Experience selling into high growth tech companies.
  • Experience with Mixpanel or other analytics tools.
  • Effectively prospecting Mixpanel and the hiring manager.
